Jeff Cavins
Jeff Cavins: is an author, podcaster, public speaker, and Bible teacher. He is the creator of the popular Great Adventure Bible Study series and Great Adventure Catholic Bible. He is the founding host of EWTN’s weekly program “Life on the Rock” as well as Relevant Radio’s daily show, “Morning Air”. He is the author of several books including, “The Activated Disciple: Taking Your Faith to the Next Level”. Jeff hosts a podcast, “The Jeff Cavins Show” and is partnered with Father Mike Schmitz on the award-winning podcast, “The Bible in a Year” and “Catechism in a Year”. Jeff also provides a daily reflection on the Gospel Readings on the Hallow App. He is an instructor at the St. Paul Seminary, and an instructor, board member, and former director of the Catechetical Institute at the St. Paul Seminary. He and his wife, Emily, lead annual pilgrimages to the Holy Land and other Bible related locations. |
Fr. Patrick Hough, SJ
Father J. Patrick Hough, S.J., is a native of Lancashire, England, and holds bachelor’s degrees from both Leeds University and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Before joining the Society of Jesus in 2002, he went to Sydney, Australia, to teach, coach and work with the music program at St. Ignatius High School. Jesuit assignments took him to Sacred Heart Church in El Paso; Jesuit Dallas Preparatory High School; Jesuit Tampa; and Regis, New York. Father Hough earned a master’s degree in medieval history from Fordham University and a licentiate in sacred theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Santa Clara University. He also studied orchestral conducting and singing as well as coaching rowing at the high school and collegiate level. Fr. Hough is currently the Executive Director of Retreats, at St. Charles College & Our Lady of the Oaks located in Grand Coteau, LA.. |
Fr. Miles Walsh
Father Miles D. Walsh, S.T.D., was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Baton Rouge in 1980 after completing theological studies at the University of Louvain in Belgium (S.T.B.) and the Gregorian University in Rome (S.T.L.). He has served as pastor of several parishes across the Diocese of Baton Rouge, from 1996-98, he served a director of Pastoral Formation for the Pontifical North American College in Rome. In the year 2000, he completed a doctorate in sacred theology from Lateran University in Rome while studying at the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family in Washington, D.C. Father Walsh has given retreats for married couples, laity, seminarians, and priests. Since 2003, he has served as chaplain of the Baton Rouge chapter of Legatus International and was one of the founders of the Men of the Immaculata. Presently, he serves as a member of the board of Our Lady of Hope Retreat Center in Chatawa, MS, and continues to be active as a priest of the Diocese of Baton Rouge. |
